ALCESTER Health Centre is set to welcome two new GPs next month.
Dr Serena Harborne worked at the surgery until 2018 and is set to return.
Originally from the Midlands, she studied a degree in Physiology in London before moving on to study Medicine at Sheffield University.
After finishing many of her rotations in the Yorkshire area, Dr Harborne moved back to the Midlands to complete her rotations at Warwick Hospital and the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
During her GP career, she has worked in a variety of rural and deprived areas.
Dr Steven Jones is also joining the centre. He graduated from Cardiff University in 2006 and prior to GP training he worked extensively in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery as a Speciality Doctor.
He then completed GP training in Warwickshire and Coventry.
From July the practice team will include three GP partners and a salaried GP, an advanced nurse practitioner and two health care assistants.
