A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on the M42 near Redditch.
The collision, involving a car and a lorry, happened just after 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 11 between J2 and J3.
The driver of the car was treated for injuries, not believed to be serious, by paramedics and taken to The Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10:41 am to reports of an RTC on the M42 between junctions 3 and 2 involving a car and HGV.
"We sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer and the West Midlands CARE Team.
"The lorry driver was assessed and discharged on scene.”
The crash caused huge delays for motorists as traffic was stopped for more than 30 minutes whilst emergency services attended.
At its peak travel time was around 60 minutes with four miles of congestion.
