Places are still available on fun free Easter holiday activity and food sessions across Redditch.

Free holiday sessions that include a meal or food package and range from football and junior gym to a Palace Theatre pantomime are available from a range of providers, in partnership with Redditch Borough and Worcestershire County councils.

There are multisports camps running at both Redditch Cricket Club and Abbey Stadium, and football camps at Redditch United Football Club.

Junior Gym sessions for ages 11 plus are taking place at Abbey Stadium, and juniors who attend five sessions can get a free junior membership.

Easter egg hunts are being held in Woodrow, Central, Abbeydale, Arrow Valley Country Park, Batchley, Alvechurch, and Church Hill.

The swimming pool at Abbey Stadium will host Inflatable Fun Swim sessions for ages 8 and up, along with learn to swim sessions for ages 4 or over.

And there’s a Wizard of Oz Easter panto on at the Palace Theatre on Saturday April 23.

The programme, which is supported by the Redditch Youth Providers Forum and has been put together by the Development Services and Community Safety teams at the borough council with the Starting Well Partnership, is enabled by £36,000 from Worcestershire Children First’s Ready Steady Worcestershire programme.

Redditch Borough Council’s head of planning, regeneration and leisure services, Ruth Bamford, said: “There’s a range of fun, active sessions with food included during the Easter holidays and they’re all free thanks to the funding we’ve secured from Ready Steady Worcestershire. With venues across the borough there’s something near you.”
