THE team at Attwell Park Farm are celebrating after winning a prestigious tourism award.
The Beoley farm attraction was named ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’ at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Award last week.
The family farm on Seafield Lane is also a rural education centre, offering visitors the chance to meet the farm’s residents including Pedigree Aberdeen Angus Cattle, alpacas, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and ducks.
Youngsters also get the chance to sit on farm machinery and learn about British farming and conservation.
Oliver Arundel from the farm said: “It’s an honour to win an award for local tourism in Worcestershire, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic. We have put everything into Attwell Farm Park, and it’s fantastic to see all the local and afar families enjoy our attraction, day in, day out.
“The whole team does a fantastic job, we are really proud of them. We started off with just four of us, and now we have a team of 30 fantastic employees and growing.
“I just want to say a whole-hearted thank you for everyone’s support and visits over the years we’ve been growing and we can’t wait to invite you all to the farm for our biggest year yet.”
They will now be put forward to the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence for the chance to win on the national stage.
The awards, hosted by comedian and author, Dominic Holland, took place at the Stanbrook Abbey Hotel and saw a total of 37 finalists shortlisted by expert judges, with 12 winners being awarded for their service to the sector.
Dominique Bray, Business Growth Manager for Visit Worcestershire said: “I am truly thrilled for all our winners and those who received ‘highly commended’.
“We are all looking forward to seeing how far the winners progress at the national Awards in June.”
