A VIOLENT dog walker has been arrested after being pinned down in dog poo during an argument in Alcester.

After receiving reports of an assault, Warwickshire Rural Crime Team arrested a man who tried to run from officers but instead turned into a garden fence face first.

A man, who failed to pick up his dog’s faeces, was challenged by another dog walker to clean up the mess.

The man allegedly became abusive and punched the other dog walker as well as using a nearby plank of wood and loose paving slab to attack him.

Warwickshire Rural Crime Team posted on Facebook that the victim did not sustain any injuries but restrained his attacker to the ground whilst waiting for police to arrive.

The force wrote: "It is unfortunate for the suspect on this occasion that his victim happened to have an extensive military background and a rather impressive skill set.

“It is also unfortunate that the coordinates of where the suspect was restrained on the floor just so happened to correspond with the exact location of his animals prior bowel evacuation.”

The team added: “This gentleman was able to reflect on this altogether unfortunate incident in a police cell after a hot shower and will no doubt continue to reflect until he attends court for assault and offences under the dog (fouling of land) act.”
