A PLAN to convert a former mobile phone shop into a nail bar has been given the green light by planners.
A change of use application was submitted to Redditch Borough Council for the former Redditch Mobiles store at 5 Alcester Street.
Applicant Cuc Nguyen wished to convert the shop, which sold mobiles and repaired laptops, into a nail bar.
The application was granted by planning officers at Redditch Borough Council.
Approving the project, the planning notice states how the "scheme would contribute to the mixed-use nature of the town centre".
The proposed change of use for the site, which falls under the historic Church Green Conservation Area in the town centre, received no objections from the Council's Conservation Officer.
It also received no representations from the public.
The condition of approval states that the development must begin no later than three years after the permission was granted.
