A KNIFE has been taken off the streets of Redditch thanks to a concerned resident.

A large knife was handed in to Redditch Police station after it was discovered on Bates Hill.

It was given in to officers by a “concerned” member of the public and will be destroyed, police said.

Redditch Police took to social media to highlight the incident today (January 13).

They wrote: “Another knife off the streets and booked in for destruction. Handed to police by a concerned member of the public, Bates Hill in Town Centre.”
