A MAN was taken to hospital after armed police were seen in the Moons Moat area of Redditch this morning.
West Mercia Police confirmed police received a report at 8.25am this morning (Monday January 10) of concerns for a man's welfare.
Together with paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service officers attended a property in Sandhurst Close.
Police confirmed "firearms officers were in the area but not involved in dealing with the incident" after armed cops were reportedly seen in the vicinity and a spokesman for the force added: "No injuries were reported but the man was taken to hospital as a precaution."
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed one ambulance was sent to the scene after the service was alerted to "reports of concern for a patient’s welfare at a property on Sandhurst Close at 10.35am" and a spokesman added: "On arrival we discovered one male patient who following assessment, was transported to hospital."
