A BID to demolish a show room and build four homes in its place in Rowley Regis has been given the thumbs up by planners.

Rowley Home Creations on Hawes Lane will be flattened to make way for four detached houses.

The application, from Peter Pemberton, of Hawes Lane, to build four three-bedroom homes with parking has been approved by Sandwell Council.

The application states that the existing building is a single-storey flat roofed shop and show room and, with a storage building behind.

Both buildings will be bulldozed to make way for the new homes.

A design and access statement states: "The proposed development has been designed to provide 4 new dwellings that fits in with the surrounding dwellings and seeks to improve the street scene.

"Changes have been made to the scheme following pre-application advice and discussion with the planning officer to improve the site and parking layout."
