A NEW temporary Job Centre is set to open in Redditch to meet demand of increased job vacancies in the town.
The new centre, which will be based in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, will run alongside the existing facility in the library.
It is set to open at the end of the month opposite T K Maxx on the top floor of the mall.
Gwyn Sherriff, regional partnership manager for the Department for Work and Pensions said: “We have an absolute plethora of vacancies.
“Because of Covid we have been limited in the number of people they can see.
“Now we have taken on more work coaches and opening more second sites in towns so we can see more people face to face.
“We have not had the fall out that we were expecting from furlough ending.
“It means its good figures for the unemployment figures but for employers its proving difficult to find people.”
