A GARAGE fire spread to a property in Redditch, forcing residents to flee their home.
Four fire crews were called just before 1pm on Monday, November 22 to Peterbrook Close.
Police also attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service said: Four Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two each from Bromsgrove and Redditch – with the incident command unit from Wyre Forest were called at 12:57 on 22 November to a building fire at Peterbrook Close, Redditch.
“A fire in a garage had spread to the main property – a two-storey detached house.
“Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire using two hosereel jets and one covering jet with the supply augmented from a hydrant.
“Checks were made for spread to the roof.”
No one was injured.
Firefighters carried out a re-inspection at 8pm and the incident was closed at 9:08pm.
