A CHRISTMAS market has arrived in Redditch, kicking off the festivities in the town.
Continental Street Market will be in Market Place until Sunday, November 21, offering sweet treats, Christmas gifts and street food.
There will also be a Christmas show on Saturday night, filling a pop-up stage with local talent.
Kingfisher Shopping Centre have also suspended all car parking charges on Wednesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 18 to encourage shoppers to venture into the market.
In a Facebook post shared on November 16, the shopping centre said: “A little birdie has told us that something is happening outside on Market Place. We’ve had a quick look and can see a lot of festive stalls being set up for Continental Street Market
“To encourage you to check it out for yourself we will be suspending all car park charges for visitors tomorrow (Wednesday).
“Yes, that’s right Free Parking at Kingfisher Car Parks on Wednesday so pop-in……and pop-out into the town centre, grab a selfie at the Giant Walkthrough Tree or a treat from the festive stalls.
“How good is that.”
It is the first time Continental Street Market has visited Redditch and has toured Solihull and Lowestoft.
The market will be open 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Saturday and will close at 5pm on Sunday.

Redditch BID has been working in conjunction with RR Events, who operate Continental Street Market, to host the festivities across five days.
