TWO people have been found dead at a property in Redditch.

Shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday, October 28, officers received a report concerned for the welfare of a person at a property in Hawthorn Road.

Officers and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene and sadly two people had died. 

The deceased, a 45-year-old woman and 57-year-old man, had been dead for several weeks and their deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3:43pm on Thursday over concern for a patient’s welfare at an address in Hawthorn Road, Batchley.

"The caller provided information to one of our clinicians over the phone, and after liaising with police on scene, it was decided that ambulance assistance was not required and the incident was left in the hands of police colleagues.”

House-to-house inquiries are being carried out by police and a cordon has been put in place while investigation work continues. 

Officers remain at the scene.
