THE spookiest weekend of the year is finally upon us so we have rounded up the most haunted places in Redditch and Alcester.

From grey ladies to phantom monks, many spirits are said to haunt historical buildings and areas around Redditch and Alcester.

The Sportsman’s Arms, Peakman Street, Redditch

The figure of a male spectre, wearing a white shirt and a black waistcoat used to be seen at the pub.

Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Redditch

A phantom monk is said to haunt the centre.

Foxlydiate Arms, Birchfield Road, Redditch

In the past there have been reports of phenomena near the ladies’ toilets.

Old Rectory House, Ipsley Lane, Ipsley

Many phantoms have ben reportedly seen at the hotel such as a woman with dark eyes seated in a large chair in the lounge.

Hewell Grange, Tardebigge

A monk has been seen in this building, now part of HMP Hewell. He was seen to walk through the walls from cell to cell

The Tardebigge, Hewell Lane, Tardebigge

It has been reported the burglar alarm would be triggered for no reason, and two-pint tankards kept behind the bar would split in front of staff members' eyes.

The Village Inn, Holt Hill, Beoley

Doors that have been locked were found to be wide open moments later and power cuts have been known too. The gas pumps have been known to turn off overnight.

The Barley Mow, Priory Square, Studley

Several phantom monks have been spotted at the pub.

Studley Castle Hotel, Hardwick Lane, Studley

The wife of a former owner who drowned herself has been spotted at the hotel.

Astwood Court, Astwood Lane, Astwood Bank

A ghost has been seen here.

The Bell Inn, Evesham Road, Astwood Bank

When the site used to be The Woodman pub, doors would be found open despite being locked the previous night.

Coughton Court, Coughton

A lady in a pink dress has been seen pacing the rooms within the house.

King’s Court Hotel, King’s Coughton

There have been several reports of ghosts at the hotel including a manager feeling someone invisible walk past her.

The Bull’s Head, High Street, Inkberrow

A female ghost is thought to haunt the pub.

Alcester War Memorial Town Hall, Henley Street, Alcester 

A young female ghost and a grey lady have been spotted at the town hall.

Churchill House, Henley Street, Alcester

A lady in 18th century attire is said to haunt the staircase between the first and second floors.

St Nicholas Church, Church Street, Alcester

Sir Fulke Greville, who is also spotted at Warwick Castle has been reported to haunt near the church.

Arrow Mill Hotel, Arrow

A grey lady is said to be seen on the first floor of the hotel.

Ragley Hall, Alcester

An old woman has been seen outside the gates to Ragley Hall.
