A PLEA has been issued to food vendors in Redditch to step in to help at the ongoing Autumn Celebrations at Arrow Vale Country Park.

Organisers at Redditch Borough Council have called for mobile caterers to get in touch, after they were "let down" by their vendors.

The event started last night and continues until Saturday and features a free light trail, music, children’s rides and food stalls, every evening from 5pm until 8.30pm.

Writing on Facebook, the organisers stated: "We're sad to say we've been let down for our Autumn Celebration event at AVCP. If you're a mobile caterer and want to sell at our event please get in touch!

"We can be very flexible with arrangements and you can choose to have a pitch from 5pm until 8.30pm any or all evenings from tonight until Saturday, or sell all day and capture visitors attending for the lantern workshops too."

Anyone who can help should contact council officers Val Wilson on 07798800106 or Jackie Boreham on 07711224300.

On Friday, October 29 and Saturday, October 30, visitors are also invited to join in with a lantern walk around the lake from 6pm.

Visitors can bring their own lanterns, or they can take part in lantern making activities running at Arrow Valley Visitors Centre on October 26 and 27 at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm.

The Autumn Celebration replaces the annual firework display.
