POLICE have appealed for information after a man was reportedly seen assaulting young people in Redditch.

Officers from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Teams took to social media today to issue an appeal for witnesses or more information about the alleged incident reported in Ashwood Bank Park between 3.30pm and 4pm on Monday October 11.

A man reportedly approached groups of young people and asked several of them to pick up litter on the ground.

When they replied it was not their litter, the man has grabbed them, shaking and pushing them.

PC Jason Hynes said: “These incidents happened in the middle of the afternoon when many people are likely to have been out and about.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or captured them on dash cam.”

No injuries were reported but police are investigating and anyone with any information is asked to visit https://orlo.uk/SVc5E quoting incident 270i of 12 October 12.
