A POPULAR Redditch businessman has raised over £2,000 for Primrose Hospice.

Ben Truslove, joint managing director of John Truslove, took part in the Chester Marathon, raising £2,065 for the vital charity.

Ben, who completed the run in three hours, 44 minutes, said: “The marathon was exhausting but also exhilarating to be a part of, and I’m so grateful for all the generous donations.

“The total raised was more than I’d imagined, and it will all help the Primrose to provide more crucial care for patients living with life-limiting illnesses and support for their families.”

Abi Coulson, corporate fundraiser at Primrose Hospice, said: “We’re so pleased that Ben decided to run the marathon for Primrose and are chuffed to bits that his supporters donated so much for his efforts.”

Primrose Hospice raises more than £1.75 million a year to provide care and help with patients’ home adjustments, physiotherapy, medication reviews or emotional support.
