A BID to build two apartment blocks on vacant land in Redditch has been submitted to planners.

The application, consisting of eight apartments on land at the end of Loxley Close, has been put forward to Redditch Borough Council.

Plans from Mr Matthew Bough show eight apartments spilt between two two-storey blocks, each with a living/dining room, one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

The proposals also feature eight car parking spaces and bicycle storage to store up to eight cycles.

It is proposed the flats would be for affordable or immediate rent.

The design and access statement states: “The design intent seeks to contrast the existing neighbouring dwellings on Loxley Close with a contemporary development, which will have its own identity, creating a sense of place and improving the attractiveness of its location.”

If plans are passed, the flats can be accessed from both the front and the rear.
