AN appeal has been launched after a spate of car licence plate thefts in Wythall.

Plates were stolen from parked cars in Hill Crest Park, between 2pm on September 6 and 11.23am the following morning.

Police are now calling for anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious during that time to get in touch.

Bromsgrove Police posted on Facebook: "Advice from the police is to ensure, where possible that you secure your vehicles registration plates with tamper proof 'Clutch-Head' screws which prevents the plates from being unscrewed and stolen.

"West Mercia Police is keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to the theft of these items or that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious which may assist in the investigation."

Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police and quote reference number 00278_07092021.
