STUDLEY came together to celebrate the return of the village's annual wheelbarrow race last weekend.
Racers took to their wheelbarrows in a variety of wild and wacky costumes to race around the village on Sunday August 29.
22 barrows took the streets for the race around 12 venues raising just over £1660 to be split between Studley in Bloom and the village's Christmas lights fund.
A host of Studley pubs and businesses came together to make the event a success, including: The Bell, The Barley Mow, The Shakespeare, Weatheroak Tap House, The Swan, Willies Social, Studley Sports and Social Club, The Railway, The Jubilee, The Needle Makers, The Little Lark and Mount Everest restaurant.
Stephen Boswell, licensee at The Bell, said: "It was brilliant, we had a live band and a raffle supported by local businesses.
"It brought the village together. It was of the bigger ones and it was nice to be back after Covid."
The race, which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, has been running in the village for more than 40 years.
