A MAN from Redditch has received a 14-week jail term suspended for 12 months after failing to provide a blood specimen as part of an investigation.

Iqram Akhtar of Lodge Road was suspected of having driven a vehicle whilst over the limit and was required to provide a specimen of blood for testing.

The 34-year-old was disqualified from driving for 54 months, ordered to pay £400 in costs and given a curfew with electronic monitoring for ten weeks.

Meanwhile another man from Redditch has been fined after failing to give information to police about the driver of a vehicle.

Jozsef Bogdan of Clive Road failed to give information about a driver who was alleged to be guilty of an offence.

The 40-year-old was fined £180 and ordered to pay £630 in costs.

A man has been fined after driving a vehicle in Bromsgrove without due care or attention.

Darren Maynard of Highlander Drive, Telford drove a vehicle on Kidderminster Road junction with Berry Lane and failed to notice the traffic ahead had stopped to allow another vehicle to turn, so tried to swerve around the traffic and hit a Ford Focus.

Whilst on the opposite carriageway, Maynard crashed head on with a Range Rover, forcing it into a nearby property.

The 51-year-old was fined £311, ordered to pay £620 in costs and disqualified from driving for six months.

A man from Redditch has been fined for drug driving.

Steven Booker of Peterbrook Close was found in possession of cocaine on October 18, 2020.

On November 7, 2020, the 39-year-old drove a Vauxhall Corsa on Pheasant Lane whilst under the influence of cocaine and cannabis.

Booker was fined £240, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £135 in costs.
