COVID testing booths at Redditch Library are being removed, as more and more people opt to take lateral flow tests.
More than 1,000 of the tests have been carried out in pharmacies and opticians in recent weeks, along with hundreds of people picking up lateral flow testing kits.
The last tests at the library will be on Friday July 30 - but the venue will still be used as a collection point for home testing kits.
Some pharmacies will also continue to carry out tests for people who to do them under supervision.
Councillor Karen May, Worcestershire County Council cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank our library service for all they have done during this challenging time.
"It once again reinforces their valuable role as community hubs, an important resource for us all.
"It is great news so many people across the county are twice weekly testing at home. Regular rapid testing is an important tool in keeping everyone safe as restrictions ease and they are a hugely important part of a range of steps necessary to help us get back to where we want to be."
