REDDITCH'S Palace Theatre has reopened to a sell out success after 16 months shut because of Covid.

The theatre hosted comedian Paul Smith on Wednesday, July 21, as lockdown restrictions were lifted - and it is now looking forward to a packed programme of events ahead of its showpiece Christmas panto.

Palace Theatre managing director, Simon Ingyon, said: "After 16 months of being closed I am delighted our first night back in business was a complete sell out, and tickets for forthcoming shows are selling fast."

Council leader, Matt Dormer, added: "It's great to see the Palace doors open once more and our customers enjoying the show.

"I am delighted that now Covid restrictions are lifted, we can focus on continuing to unlock leisure across the borough."
