A FUNDRAISER launched to pay for the funeral of a Redditch mother who was found dead in her home has raised almost £2,000.
A GoFundMe was set up following the death of 35-year-old Koreen Danks, who has been described by neighbours as a mum "with a heart of gold."
She was pronounced dead at her home on Prospect Road North last Wednesday (July 14). A man in his thirties from Redditch was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released under investigation.
A fundraiser was set up with a target of reaching £3,000 to fund her funeral by Paul Danks.
On the GoFundMe appeal the organiser wrote: "This is to give Koreen-Alicia Danks a goodbye and send her off to a beautiful beginning.
"She never knew her dad, her mum died at a young age. Koreen's daughter is only 18.
"She was a lovely caring soul, who cared for all except herself. So sad.
"Please help her daughter be able to give her a goodbye she deserves."
People can donate to the GoFundMe page via www.gofundme.com/f/a-tribute-for-koreenalicia-danks.
Last week, West Midlands Ambulance Service said "it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene."
Inspector Lee Page said: “Our thoughts are with Koreen’s family at this very difficult time and I would like to thank the local community for their support and assistance with our enquiries so far.”
