A MAN who was arrested on suspicion of murder after a Redditch mum was found dead in her home has been released under investigation.

Koreen Danks, aged 35, was pronounced dead at her house on Prospect Road North on Wednesday afternoon (July 14) last week.

A murder investigation was launched after the ambulance service called police to the address.

A man in his thirties from Redditch was later arrested on suspicion of murder. He has since been released under investigation.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman.

"Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene."

Inspector Lee Page said: “Our thoughts are with Koreen’s family at this very difficult time and I would like to thank the local community for their support and assistance with our enquiries so far.”

Reacting to the tragic news, one Facebook user said: "So so very sad. I honestly cannot believe this."

Another remembered how she was "always smiling," with another describing her as a "lovely lady."

One person said their "thoughts are with her family and friends, especially her daughter." Another said they had "great memories" from their school days.

One Facebook user said: "This is heartbreaking, I used to work with her, may she rest in peace. Thinking of her daughter and her family at this sad time."

Penny Humpherston, who lives opposite the home on Prospect Road North, also paid tribute to the mum "with a heart of gold."

She said they were "good friends" and previously went on holidays to Spain and Lanzarote together.

Ms Humpherston said: "She just tried to help everybody. She loved the caring side of her. She idolised her daughter. She was a carer and she loved it.

"It's a bit surreal at the moment."
