MORE than half of the city’s adults have now received both Covid jabs, the latest figures show.

A total of 46,580 people in Worcester have now received two doses of a coronavirus vaccine - around 52 per cent of the estimated population of the city.

NHS figures show that as of June 13, an extra 2,951 people received their second jab in the last week.

Of the people that have so far received both jabs, 1,723 people were aged under 25 and 1,497 people were aged between 25 and 29.

Figures show 3,831 people were in their 30s and 5,459 people were in their 40s.

Going through the age groups, 11,893 people in Worcester who have received both jabs were in their 50s, 9,698 people were in their 60s and 7,960 people were in their 70s.

The figures also show that 62,500 people in Worcester have now received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine. A total of 4,519 people were aged 80 and over.

Across the county, a total of 312,069 people have now received both Covid jabs including 53,531 in Bromsgrove and 45,541 people in Malvern Hills.

A total of 38,850 people in Redditch have received two doses of a Covid vaccine and 72,793 people across Wychavon, which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich, have now had two jabs.

In Wyre Forest, a total of 54,774 people have now received two Covid jabs.
