THERE have been no new coronavirus related deaths recorded at Worcestershire's hospitals according to official statistics as well as zero recorded throughout the UK for first time since the pandemic began, as per Government figures.

NHS England's figures show the two deaths came at Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust. The Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust's total is now at 808.

With no newly recorded deaths at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, meaning its total remains at 63, the overall total number of Covid deaths in Worcestershire hospitals is 871.

In all settings, which includes care homes and hospices, the total number of coronavirus related deaths during the pandemic is now at 1,356.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
