THE closure of a major road on the outskirts of Worcester is causing heavy traffic in the city today.
Temeside Way shut on Friday night and will remain closed until 5.30am tomorrow morning when traffic can start using a section of the Carrington Bridge.
The closure means there is currently no access to the A4440 between Ketch roundabout and Powick roundabouts, which has caused major delays this weekend.
A lane closure is also currently in place in Deansway due to roadworks.
Some residents have expressed their frustration on Twitter.
Didn’t take long for Worcester to grind to a halt again post lockdown. One road closure is enough to cause absolute chaos in this city. pic.twitter.com/Eek2uRkV0p

Wouldn't bother driving anywhere in worcester today, the new bridge is shut and town is a mess.
