NEW figures show that 1 in 5 adults in Redditch have now received both does of the Covid-19 vaccine.
For the first time, NHS figures published on Thursday (April 29) revealed how many people per local area have received both does.
The figures show 14,897 people in Redditch have been fully vaccinated – that’s 20 per cent of all adults in the borough.
Figures have also revealed that 61 per cent of all adults in the borough have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
In welcoming the figures, Redditch MP Rachel Maclean said: “This is the most successful vaccine rollout in the UK’s history and its ensuring thousands of people in Redditch are given a high degree of protection against Covid-19.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when it’s your turn to get vaccinated please do get the jab. It’s the right thing to do to protect yourself, your family and your community.”
