A WARRANT has been issued for a man who failed to attend his court hearing for failing to provide a specimen and for drug possession charges.

Iftikhar Ali, of Mersey Road, Worcester, was due to appear before magistrates in the city on April 12 to face charges of failing to provide a specimen on January 28 this year as well as an additional charge of possession of Class C drug diazapin.

He failed to attend his hearing, and a warrant was issued for the 47 year-old’s arrest.

A Droitwich man who failed to provide a specimen when suspected of a driving offence has been fined.

43 year-old Andrew Cameron was found guilty of failure to provide a specimen in Pershore on April 1, 2019.

He had pleaded not-guilty in November 2019, but was found guilty when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on April 12 this year.

Cameron, of Farmers Way, Droitwich, was fined £94 as well as a £30 victim surcharge and court costs of £200.

He was also banned from driving for 12 months.

A warrant has also been issued for a woman accused of driving with a drug in her system, obstructing a police officer and driving while disqualified.

Katie Green was due to appear before magistrates in Worcester on April 12 to face the charges, but she failed to appear.

The 21 year-old, of Belmont Avenue, Hereford, was accused of the offences, which all took place in Ombersley on August 4 last year.

A date has been set for the sentencing of a man who admitted assaulting a woman, taking a car without consent and acting in a controlling or coercive manner in Worcester.

Philip Hudson, of Vesta Tilley Court, appeared before magistrates in the city on April 12 where he pleaded guilty to the three offences, which all took place between May 1 and December 16 last year.

The case was sent to Worcester Crown Court, and the 26 year-old will be sentenced on May 7 this year.
