ALL staff and residents at an Alcester care home are 'relieved' after receiving both doses of the Covid jabs.

Management at Barchester’s Cherry Trees care home has said this is a big step back to normality, but there is a more work to be done to get there.

The Covid-19 vaccinations were provided by the staff at the home.

General Manager, Debbie Osborne said: “We’ve all been through such a difficult time and this feels like such a big step on the way to getting back to some normality. I am so proud of the team and how they have worked together and continue to do so and we are all so grateful to be prioritised to receive the vaccine first.

"Now that everyone in the home has had both doses, we can start to work towards getting life in the home back to a new normal, but we know there is a lot of work to do in order to get there.”

Anette White, staff member at Cherry Trees said: “There is such a sense of relief. We are all so pleased to have had both doses of the vaccine.

"It will help to keep our residents safe, we know there is still a long road ahead of us but this is a big step towards getting back to some sort of normal.”
