POLICE have "serious concerns" for the welfare of a missing man who is known to frequent areas of north Worcestershire.

Gerard Roy went missing from his home in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham on Friday afternoon (March 5) and hasn't been seen since.

The 68-year-old is known to visit the Kidderminster and Bromsgrove areas of Worcestershire and officers are appealing for help from the public to locate him.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The 68-year-old went missing from his home in SellyOak, Birmingham, and we have serious concerns for his welfare.

"He is of slim build, 5ft 9ins tall and has black hair. He is believed to be wearing a black jacket and carrying a Sainsbury’s bag.

"He is known to frequent areas such as Kidderminster and Bromsgrove.

"If anyone knows where Gerard is or believes they have seen him please ring 101 and quote log 4333 of March 5."
