PLANS have been drafted to build a total of 265 new homes on land in Mappleborough Green, Redditch.
The site is located on the eastern side of Redditch, to the east of Far Moor Lane and west of the A435 Birmingham Road.
Developers Morris Homes have yet to submit a planning application, but say they are working closely with Redditch Borough Council and Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
The site crosses the administrative borders of the two councils and includes undeveloped land on the southern side of the site and an area of New Town era woodland planting centrally and towards the northern end of the site.
The development would include associated infrastructure including attenuation areas, open space and enhancement of accessibility to the woodland areas. The site would be accessed by two primary vehicular accesses onto Far Moor Lane, as well as minor access for the houses fronting the road.
It is proposed to deliver the homes through the submission of a full planning application, with Redditch acting as lead authority due to the majority of the site falling within the the town's administrative boundary.
