A LUXURY new beauty and aesthetics salon is set to open on Comberton Hill in Kidderminster after lockdown.
Heidi Payton, 33, will open her new business Advanced Beauty and Aesthetics in the same building where she started her first salon job 18 years ago.
The beautician, who is from Kidderminster, had been thinking about starting her own salon for 10 years but said she knew it was "meant to be" when she saw her old workplace was available to rent.
"I've been wanting to do this for 10 years but it's been finding the right time to do it," said Heidi.
"I was just walking past and saw this property was up for lease - it used to be the first salon I ever worked in. Something told me it was meant to be - I saw it as a bit of a sign."
The building, which was last used as a carpet shop, has undergone a £15,000 refurbishment and is due to open its doors for the first time on December 3.
The new salon will offer a full range of beauty treatments, including nails and skin care, as well as aesthetic treatments such as fillers and anti-wrinkly injections.
Heidi says the salon will be the first aesthetics boutique in Kidderminster, and will create three new jobs in the town, including a nurse practitioner who will carry out the aesthetics treatments.
A percentage of Advanced's profits will be donated to mental health charity MIND.
Heidi said: "Aesthetics is a massive up and coming the industry, it's booming at the moment, so I think there is a call for something like this in Kidderminster.
"The location of the salon is brilliant with the train station right opposite so I'm hoping people will come from outside the area for treatments too.
"It will be quite a luxury salon, like a boutique, so we'll be offering a personal touch like a glass of Prosecco or whatever suits the customer.
"People will be wanting to treat themselves after the lockdown and this will be a perfect little getaway for them."
