FAMILIES across Wyre Forest have already brought their best baubles, tinsel and lights down from the loft to start the festive period slightly earlier than usual this year.

We asked Shuttle readers on Monday if the nationwide lockdown was a good enough excuse to put your Christmas trees up in November - and the overwhelming majority said yes!

Christmas is bound to look a little different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it seems after a difficult year, people in Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley are eager to get into the festive spirit nonetheless.

More than 100 readers shared their views on whether it was acceptable to flout tradition this year and put our trees up a month early. And while some said it was far too soon, many shared pictures of their own November Christmas trees - decorated and lit up in all their glory.

Your photos showed trees of all shapes and sizes - real and fake, traditional and modern, large and small. Some captured cosy scenes, with trees lit up next to decorated fire places, snoozing pets or an open fire. A few of our readers had gone all out and decorated the whole house too!

Of the dozens of beautiful pictures we received, we've chosen our top 10 for this reader's Christmas tree gallery.
