THREE people were taken to hospital following a house fire in Redditch this morning (Monday, November 23).

Emergency services were called to the fire at a home on Edgeworth Close just after 7am.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service tackled the blaze using three hose reel jets and two main jets.

Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene. Three adults, who self-extricated from the house, all suffered smoke inhalation.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were all taken to Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further checks.
