A 'HIGH risk' missing woman was taken to hospital after emergency services worked together to search for her in Redditch.
West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to Pitcher Oak Wood after a person went missing yesterday (Sunday, November 15).
Two fire crews from Redditch were sent out just after 3pm and a drone was also deployed.
A woman in her 40s found and handed over to ambulance personnel who were called.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 20 past six yesterday to Alvechurch Highway to reports of concern for a patient's welfare.
"One ambulance was sent to the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who following assessment was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment."
Following the successful search, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service station commander Jon Laight tweeted: "Some great joint working between @HWFire and @WMerciaPolice searching for a high risk MISPER late afternoon/evening in Redditch yesterday. The @HWFire drone was also in use in several locations. The MISPER was found safe & transported to hospital by @OFFICIALWMAS.
