A REDDITCH woman who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released pending investigation after a horror crash. 

A cyclist in his 40s died and another man was seriously injured in a crash on the A441 Redditch Road in Alvechurch on Saturday (November 14).

The road was closed for hours and motorists were advised to avoid the area after the crash, which involved a car and two bicycles.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the crash - involving two cyclists and a car - to get in touch.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Two people, both cyclists, were seriously injured in the collision and sadly, one of the victims, a man in his 40s, died.

"The other victim, a man in his 20s continues to receive medical care at hospital and is in a critical condition.

"A woman in her 20s from Redditch has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released pending investigation."
