AN ALVECHURCH road has been closed by police due to a "serious" crash.
The A441 Redditch Road had been closed in both directions.
West Mercia Police are advising people to avoid the area.
The road was closed at around 8.15am this morning (Saturday November 14) and was expected to remain closed for some time.
Police put out an alert on Facebook at around 9.30am stating: "ROAD CLOSURE | A441 Redditch Road at Alvechurch is currently closed in both directions due to a serious collision.
"The road is likely to be closed for some time."

At around 12.30pm the Northbound carriageway reopened between Beoley and J2 M42, but the southbound road was still closed as recovery work was ongoing.
