THIS week’s Trader is better known as a nom de plume – ‘Pershore Patty’ – the brainchild of Victoria Richardson.

Pershore Patty – The Foodie Card was founded three-and-a-half years ago by the local food blogger, and brings independent food and drink businesses together with foodies looking for great places to visit in and around Worcestershire.

Victoria says she has always been excited about food and so it was an easy decision when asked to name her most memorable in business?

“The day I was invited to work in the Michelin-starred kitchen, Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham.

“I’ve also been proud to win multiple awards for my blog and The Foodie Card.”

Worcester News:

One such award was the 2019 Lux Magazine award for best Food and Drink Business Supporter.

Announcing the award, the magazine said: “The Foodie Card has been recognised as the UK initiative working the hardest to support the efforts of restaurants, cafés, bars and more in delivering quality food and drink to consumers.

“At the heart of The Foodie Card is the desire to help the local community thrive, driving people to their nearby undiscovered shops and restaurants to support the local economy.”

The Foodie Card entitles its holder to exclusive offers and deals at participating food and drink locations across the three counties.

All of the businesses working with The Foodie Card have been hand-selected by Pershore Patty. They are considered based on a number of carefully considered factors before joining the initiative.

Victoria said: “I am often asked through my website what time my restaurant opens or if I can make a cake. Unfortunately I am unable to help with either!

“But I can certainly make some great local recommendations, many of which can be found listed on my website.

“Anyone who is interested in supporting local food and drink businesses should join my Facebook group.”
