ALL areas of Kidderminster have recorded more than three new coronavirus cases in the last week, according the official figures.

Areas across Kidderminster and Stourport saw a rise in positive Covid-19 cases between September 18 and September 24 - the latest data available - with Comberton recording the highest number with 11 new cases.

It comes after the director of Public Health for Worcestershire urged Wyre Forest residents to help stop the spread of coronavirus as the district's highest infection rate became the highest Worcestershire.

Local cases are rising in those under 50 and in households, and Kidderminster in particular is seeing a surge in positive cases - especially among younger people.

The figures are split into several "middle super output areas" – zones that are slightly larger than postcode areas, with an average population of around 7,200 people.
