THE death of a woman in Redditch is now being treated as unexplained after a man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police launched an investigation after a woman in her 40s was reported dead in Winyates Way on August 31.
Officers initially treated the death as suspicious and arrested a man, also in his 40s, at the scene. He was bailed and due to return on September 24.
Now, police have confirmed the man has been released from bail under investigation.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The man originally arrested has been released from bail, and subsequently released under investigation with enquiries ongoing.
"Officers are waiting on full results of toxicology and continue to treat the victim’s death as unexplained."
