PLANS for new wildlife park could be the key to economic recovery according to the Director of one of Redditch’s fastest growing recruitment agencies and the MP.

Heart of England Wildlife Park have received over 400 CVs and employment enquiries since announcing plans to open the new zoo in Redditch last month.

A full planning application could be lodged for a site in Redditch as early as October with the intention of having the park open for Easter 2021.

Damian Lee, Director of Swift Temps Ltd said: "What excites me the most about the development of Heart of England Wildlife Park isn’t just the jobs created directly at the park, but the additional employment opportunities created across the local community.

"From taxi drivers to retail assistants and a need for additional receptionists and administrators in local hotels; the potential economic benefits could be huge."

Redditch MP Rachel Maclean said: “We’re determined to make Redditch a great place to live, work and raise family – and a wildlife park in our town would play a large part in this vision.

"It would put Redditch on the map, create jobs, boost our economy and have wider benefits for tourism and businesses in Redditch. As an animal lover myself, I’m impressed by the park’s focus on conservation and protecting endangered species. I wish Martin the best of luck in making his dream become a reality.”

To support the acceleration of the development, Swift Temps have secured a corporate sponsorship package and pledged £1,500 to Heart of England Wildlife Park’s Crowdfunder initiative.
