THERE were thunderstorms over north Herefordshire last night.
Oddly, people reported violent flashes, but no thunder, and the sky in places was quite clear.
Sandra Dew sent this stunning clip (above) of lightning flashing over Leominster.
The Met Office currently has a yellow warning for thunderstorms in place for all of Herefordshire.
Caroline Douglass, flood duty manager at the Environment Agency, said: “Heavy thunderstorms across the Midlands and the north-west of England could lead to surface water and river flooding.
"Isolated flooding is also possible more widely across England through until Thursday due to further heavy thunderstorms."
According to the Met Office the hot weather will continue for much of the week with heatwave conditions persisting in parts of southern and central England. Here temperatures will locally reach the mid to high 30Cs, for much of the week, though temperatures will start to fall from their peak from Thursday onwards. Overnight temperatures will also be high for many.

Fabulous lightning show in Hereford at the moment. No thunder, just flashes in the clouds. Can't get good video of it, alas.

What is your response? The strangest storm I have ever seen. I have never seen anything like it. We stood outside for 40 minutes watching the eerie silent storm. Absoutely breath taking. 'His lightening lights up the world; the Earth sees and trembles.' Psalm 97 vs 4
