A DEVASTATED mum is appealing to Redditch residents to help search for her beloved parrot who went missing ten days ago.

Mum of six Jennifer Bathurst, of Cleeve Close, Churchill says she is desperate to find her Alexandrine parrot Charlie, who is 10 months old.

She says Charlie has been spotted in Lodge Park, Lakeside, Sandhurst Close and Upperfield Close - but is now "very worried" about his safety.

Jennifer is also offering a £100 reward for the pet parrot's safe return.

She said: "It's a nightmare. We are really worried about him. He's only 10 months old - It's horrible.

"He is a family pet and the children are devastated.

"I'm getting up at four in the morning to go and look for him. I have posted flyers through people's doors.

"He's such a massive character and the children love him. It's not the same without him.

"He is partially clipped - but he has been moulting recently.

"People have called to say they can hear him. The response I have had from complete strangers has been very heartwarming."

Those who may have seen the parrot are asked to contact Jennifer by calling or texting 07472463375.
