AN inspiring painting has been presented to the "brave heroes" working on the front line at Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
The artwork features a nurse with a tattoo reading "stay strong Redditch" in the centre of famous comic book heroes Captain America, Wonder Woman, Thor and The Incredible Hulk.
It was commissioned by Gavin Townsend from Gymbeing UK who said he wanted to donate the piece because of friends at the hospital working to "keep us fit and healthy and safe."
Gavin was joined by Redditch MP, Rachel Maclean MP to donate the painting to the hospital team.
Jackie Edwards, deputy chief nurse at the Alexandra Hospital said: “It’s a real privilege and a pleasure to accept this beautiful painting on behalf of all the nurses at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust.
“Your support for our nursing work has meant so much to us and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
