A HELPLESS owlet was saved by police in Redditch after he was found in a road.
Officers came to the baby's rescue after he had fallen from a nest yesterday (Sunday, May 10).
Unable to fly back, the owlet - named 'Eric' by officers - was taken to a local wildlife centre.
'Eric' will now be cared for by the centre until he can be released back into the wild.
