POLITICIANS from across Dorset have given messages of support to Boris Johnson following reports he had been moved to intensive care at a London hospital after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.

Mr Johnson was moved to the intensive care unit at around 7pm on Monday just a day after being admitted to St Thomas' Hospital.

It is understood the prime minister is conscious and has received oxygen but he was moved as a precaution should he require a ventilator.

The 55-year-old had tested positive for coronavirus 10 days previously, with his symptoms described as "mild" at the time.

Reports of his worsening condition led to a raft of support on social media from prominent figures across Dorset.
