Gruppo Select celebrated a spot in the Worcestershire FA (WFA) Sunday Minor Cup final following a 2-1 win over Cofton Old Boys.

Catalin Copilusi and Marcel Grigore were the goal scorers for the hosts who will now do battle with Cookley Sports reserves for the silverware after they were victorious in the other semi-final over AFC Blackwell.

There were two quarter-final ties in the WFA Sunday Premier Cup as Redditch Borough beat Bromsgrove Corinthians 4-2 to reach the last four.

Borough got joined by Green Man Inn after they cruised to a 5-0 away win at Vue Bar.

In Worcester & District Sunday League Division One, PT Eagles overcame 10-man FC United of Worcester Seconds 3-2.

Kieran Scollan was sent off for the hosts after just 13 minutes and a brace from Aaron Northall and a Jordan Cooper strike sealed the points despite goals from Nick Jones and Rhys Tuberfield for United.

Elsewhere, fourth-placed Malvern Vale were beaten by fifth-placed The Bell 3-1 thanks to goals from Carl Carson-Brown, Thomas Middleton and Luke Meredith.

In the only other game, high-flying Lower Teme & Martley beat second-bottom Northside 2-1.

The only other winner was the weather as waterlogged pitches decimated the schedule once more, wiping out the entire Premier Division, Division Two and Division Three programmes.

Among Sunday's fixtures is Perrywood's attempt to retain a 100 per cent league record at Worcester Athletic, while all-conquering Callow End hit the Nursing Junior Cup trail at home to Bromsgrove Corinthians.

Local football afficionados can also sample some action as The Bell host Express Falcons in Division One at Nunnery Wood on Wednesday evening (7.15).
