A DRINK-DRIVING teenager has been banned from the roads for more than a year.
The boy, who lives in an £800,000 family home in one of Ferndown's most prestigious roads, was caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on January 31.
The 17-year-old had 63 micrograms of alcohol in his breath when he was stopped in Princes Road, Ferndown, close to the Nightjar pub.
The drink-drive limit is 35 micrograms, meaning he was almost twice the limit.
He appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to admit drink-driving.
The youth, who cannot be named, was referred to a youth offender panel for a three-month contract. He was also ordered to pay a £21 surcharge and £85 costs, and disqualified from driving for 14 months.
